hi, i'm hayley.

i published my first book during my sophomore year of college. honestly, i thought it would just be a fun little art project. the google doc i wrote everything on was titled save me an orange so i just decided to name the book the same, i liked the sound of it. then the internet found it, and suddenly this small thing i made in my dorm room had my deepest thoughts, was being read by people around the world. 100's of thousands of people. pretty scary but also pretty cool.

i write about the things people don't really talk about and everything we're too scared to say out loud. and i want people to feel heard and seen from my words.
